I love Mario Batali – and he says it perfectly here: “The kitchen really is the castle itself. This is where we spend our happiest moments and where we find the joy of being a family.”
I’d say that the kitchen was our single biggest motivator for this renovation. Here’s how this week went down.
The refrigerator was delivered.
Getting it in was no joke.
Because our oven is so large and has some serious fumes to manage, we had to get a custom range hood with two motors.
While it’s a powerhouse, it still looks lovely.
The wet bar was installed.
And has an assortment of features I’m very excited about!
A valet for our coffee maker.
And an ice maker. No more running out of ice!!
The walnut island countertop came in yesterday. It is like a table in the middle of our kitchen.
Watching our dream turn into reality is really an incredible feeling. This is the Jonathan smirk (which means he’s happy.)
