It’s been another good week.
Here’s a little glimpse of what’s been going on.
The back porch screens were installed.
We chose something that is very clear to keep it light and bright.
Very pleased with this. (I just hope birds do not get curious and decide that they need to come and visit.)
The back deck ceiling was completed.
And our some of our fixtures went in. I love this versatile faucet and the insta-hot. (Thank you Scott for that recommendation.)
The powder room faucet was installed. I like this much better than what I had originally thought of.
Jonathan and I finally get to share a master bathroom with lots of room for each of us.
And Addison approves of our tub. It’s always nice to have your 8-year-old’s approval. (At least she is not in charge of her room just yet!)
Here’s a feature that is more function over form – and that I am really excited about. This is the whole house water filtration system. Hello clean and healthy water! (This is a really big deal here in Atlanta as our water quality is pretty poor.)
The floor team has been busy sanding away.
And our old floors have turned out amazing.
I wasn’t sure what to expect here and their condition is incredible. (Thank you Jim for saving this house in the 70’s!)
Here’s my office where I’m bound to be über productive.
And our master – I still can’t get over the light and windows we will have.
They definitely got busy with the sanding.
They look a little darker here, but here are our hand-crafted stairs to the cellar. We’re going a little modern and will have a glass handrail system to show off the floating style stairs.
And here’s the sneak peak of the stain going in. We ended up going with a dark walnut stain to change things up (yet go with our existing trim) and we are very, very happy with the result. (Even if only seen today from afar.)
